We're Members!!!

Of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church!!! Jim and I have been waiting for this day for some time now. We have been attending this church for over a year and have gotten really involved in the last few months. Jim has been attending the Men's Bible Study breakfast on Tuesdays and I'll be attending the first Women's Circle tomorrow night at a local women's shelter. I have already met a lot of the girls in this circle and they have been so welcoming already. A few of them I already new through Junior League and some I have met through the church itself. I am really excited about tomorrow night.

Yesterday couldn't have gone more perfect. Jim's mom and grandmother came down early Sunday morning and rode with us to church, the service was beautiful (on kindness), and us joining the church as a couple was amazing. Jim and I are both from Methodist backgrounds so it was an easy decision to join the methodist church and it was an even easier decision to join Wesley once we started to get involved and met everyone there. We absolutely love the Pastor Creede and the Associate Pastor Alex. They are so laid back, friendly, and helpful with anything we need. Last week Jim got called to the front desk at work notifying him that someone was there to see him. Our Pastor (I can finally say "OUR" Pastor, whoo hoo) Creede just stopped by to say Hello to Jim and wanted to see where he worked. Of course, Jim loved that and gave him the full tour. This was long before he knew we were going to join. Just shows what an amazing person he really is. And PS, Wesley UMC has over 1200 members! What a great Pastor!!!
