My first Valentine!

These were the precious flowers that were at my doorstep when I got home Friday after work. Were they from my sweet husband? No, they were from my first Valentine ever....my daddy. I have recieved flowers on Valentine's Day for 26 years no matter where I might be. I remembering getting flowers at my elementary school, in high school, at my college apartment, at my first job, and now at my first home. My husband is my heart but my dad will always be my first Valentine.


I hope one day Jim and I have a little girl (only 1 though...I don't think I could handle too much pay back) because I know Jim would be a great father just like my daddy. He would do all the sweet things my dad has done for me.




Mine and Jim's first Valentine's day was so special. No we didn't go to a nice dinner and get all dressed up, we got in our pjs and cooked steak, potatoes, and a new salad recipe. I couldn't have imagined it any better. We lit candles and sat at the table and talked about everything....from house hunting to our friend's babies :)

This new salad recipe was delish! Everyone must try it!


It's just spinach leaves, rasberry vinegarette, any fruit (we used strawberries), feta, and any type of nuts (we used pecans).
