Still sad...

About Jon & Kate plus 8. I know this happened Monday night and I'm sure people are tired of hearing about the nonsense going on with this family, but I'm still sad. Once our wedding was over I got back into my bedtime reading. Jim and I go to bed everynight reading for about 30 minutes. I'm finishing up 'Multiple Blessings" by Kate Gosselin and it just breaks my heart to read what all they've been through as a couple and how much she relied on Jon to be her rock and he did the same for her. It's so confusing reading such a happy book filled with Bible quotes and religous ways of life, and then watching tv looking at Jon with his ears pierced and just the 'I don't give a crap" attitude he has now. Not saying any of this is bad, but it's clearly not who he was when him and Kate married. I would just be devasted to have 8 kids and then realize your husband can't take life's ups and downs. I sure bet they are releived that the news, for once, hasn't been on them this week. What a devastating week for so many.

What a sweet family.

And, all she had to go through. Whew!

Now she is going to live in this house with just the kids. Wow!

  1. I agree it is very sad. I think fame changed them in all the worst ways. The kids are just adorable...I hope they turn out ok.

  2. That was my MOST favorite show too! I LOVED jon&kate....I hate that they are getting divorced! I just saw her in person back in April in Lakeland and had both the books she wrote signed by her...sniff, sniff.....

  3. I think it is sad when any family breaks up, but after watching some clips of how she's treated him on the show, I'm not surprised they had marital turmoil! I'm saddened for the kids, but I have seen many incidents where even her children question her actions and attitude. It was heartbreaking to hear one of the twins, on more than one occasion, say to Kate: "Mommy, can't you just let them have some fun?" or "Mommy, stop yelling so much." When your child has to remind you of such things, I can only imagine how or what the husband is going through. Plus, have you seen how she spoke to him on film in Target at one point? It sounded like she was speaking to a dog!!

No one should ever be cheated on, and I am too upset with Jon's behavior and his "I don't care" attitude, but I am sure there is much more to this whole thing that we don't know. Whew! I don't know... I just can't be on either team Jon or team Kate... I just hope the kids are okay at the end of it all!

  4. I agree 100% with everything you said. I recently read that book and then all the affair stuff started coming out. I was like WOW this is way different than the way they were when the book was written. So sad!

  6. This is a true shame especially for their kids.. I think the fame changed both of them for the worse and they lost sight of who they were as a couple and as a family. It's really sad..

  7. I went to the University of KY - graduated in 2005. Some of the best years of my life were with my sorority sisters :)
