Tonight

Tonight Jim and one of his friends will be installing these in our kitchen.

Since we live in a condo on the 2nd floor we can't do recessed lighting, so this is what we get. I wasn't too excited about it because these lights are a little too modern for me but they are growing on me. That could be because they have been sitting in the middle of my living room for a few days now and I'm just ready for them to be put in. The lights we chose are brushed nickel which matches the hardware in our kitchen. Jim keeps telling me "it's just a condo and it's just our first house...it doesn't have to be the best of the best". I need to listen to him and not worry. So, now I'm excited about our new lighting. In our breakfast area above our kitchen table we currenty have tracked lighting that is hideous! Our next project is to take that down and replace it with a simple chandelier.

While Jim is working hard on our lights, I'll be attending a jewelry party at one of my friends house from jr league. I'm not real sure how I feel about this jewelry yet. It's called Premier Designs and what I've gathered is its kind of like a tupperware party you host at your house except selling jewelry. I went to the website and it didn't show much jewelry, so I wasn't impressed. Hopefully, the jewlery will be better in person. I guess this is a big thing right now in Savannah because I have already been asked to host one with another friend of mine. We are both going tonight to check it out and see what all it intells. I will report back.

Have a good Thursday!

  1. Just a little warning...Premier Designs was Premier in S'boro back in the late 90s...remember all that sterling silver jewelry that was so popular when we were in middle and high school?? However, they may have updated with the times so definitely give it a shot. P.S. any of the weekends work for us for couples trip:)

  2. You have to let us know about the PD party. I got invited to one in two weeks. I'm still deciding if I want to go or not. I always feel obligated to buy something & I don't want to go and waste my money.

  6. Premier seems to come and go a lot in Savannah. Gets really popular for a bit and then fades out. I went to like 5 of these parties two summers ago and then not one since. Some of their stuff is kind of cute. Hope you had fun!
