Our diet duo

Jim called me from work yesterday pretty frazzled. He said he was standing in the breakroom getting some water and a coworker said to him "Wow Jim, since you've been married you sure have put on the weight". Aww, I felt so bad for him but I also laughed out loud when he told me that. We have definitely been slack since the wedding. Before the wedding we weren't super health concious we just watched what we ate. Lately, the only thing we watch is the cheeseburgers going into our mouths.
So, yesterday we decided that we were going to jump on the health train again. We started off walking 2 miles after work and Jim grilled a bunch of chicken and veggies for our lunches. We made turkey chili for dinner with turkey hotdogs and wheat buns. It will definitely take some time for me to be totally health concious :)

Here's what I am eating for lunch as many days a week as I can.
Doesn't look to appetizing here, but it is. This is our grilled hawaiin chicken and veggies.

Strawberries, oranges, and blackberries for a snack.

And of course, water. I want my coca colas so bad!

I'm going to need some motivation though bloggy girls!

  5. I need to start the healthy eating too. I eat way to much Barnes chicken fingers and Sweet Tea and Coke (Regular, not Diet). I also want to get a trainer for me since I want to get in shape for the wedding. Are they expensive in our area?

  8. I love my daily runs out and about here in town, but I tend to reward myself on the weekends! However, I've found the weight still comes off if you work out hard enough! You can do it hon.. I suck at diets so I guess I should come to you for the eating tips!!
