Is IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bridals by Lori called me and said my dress is in! I have mixed feelings about this. I'm so excited to see it in the color I chose, exact style, etc. BUT, I'm not the size I want to be yet!!! Ughhh! I sceptical about trying it on because I don't want to be upset that I've been working this hard and not being where I want to be. I know I have about 10 weeks left, so hopefully by then I'll be ready.
My dress is something I would've never pictured myself in, but I absolutely love it! I always pictured myself in a trendy satin dress, strapless, with a long train. Well, I got none of those. My dress is actaully all French lace, straps with a V in the front and back, and the train is very minimal. I really didn't even want to try it on when my mom handed it to me. But, when I did I fell in love. Every dress after that just didn't compare.
Romona Keveza was having a trunk show to showcase her Spring 09 collection so it was actually right off the runway in New York. That sounded so fun to me....other than it was the models' size and I felt like a cow. I didn't know much about wedding gowns other than they were pretty pricey. I tried convincing myself the entire way there not to even look at Vera Wang and some of the other high end lines. Well, of course I walk straight over to VW's section and chose about 5 dresses to try on. I knew I was doomed at that point (well, my dad was). I had only heard of Romona Keveza in some of the bridal magazines I bought once engaged. So I walk over to her section and fell in love with about 5 dresses as well. Here are some of her gowns.
