No Thank you!

Thank You cards....What to say about these things? Well, one thing Jim and I can say about them is that we are so close to finishing them we can taste it! We were pretty good at staying on top of them during showers and parties, but we definitely got a little behind closer to wedding time. Now, we are almost done with the wedding ones. I know Thank You cards are the 'right thing' to do, but geez louise I can't stand them! To anyone reading this, if I buy you something PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME A THANK YOU CARD. I really do understand that writing a thank you card is the right thing to do, but they are such a hassle. We appreciated every single gift and card we recieved, do not get me wrong! When we got back from Costa Rica we had all these wonderful gifts to rummage through, but it was so bittersweet. Each and every gift we opened we knew that was another card we had to sit down and write, address, stamp and take to the post office. I know I am being a little spoiled brat right now, but I hope I never have to write another one again (well, until we have babies).

Now, that I got that off my chest I feel much much better :)

I did see these cute shower invitations with matching thank you cards. Loved this idea!

I really wish all I had to do was fill out one these bad boys.... My mom would've freaked!

I will say that these address labels I ordered from etsy have come in handy. I ordered about 200 of them and have used about 130 up so far. I usually put them on the back of the envelope to seal it as well.

I'm sure I will do a huge post to celebrate our completion of Thank you Cards so, stay tuned!
Happy Tuesday Everyone!

  1. It is such a pain! Don't people know we appreciate their gift?? I didn't enjoy it after my shower or my wedding . . . . But I do like it when I get a super cute card in the mail.

  2. We have not even started ours yet! It makes me feel a lot better knowing you are still working on yours. Congrats on almost being done! I am so not looking forward to it!

  3. I am not looking forward to this part of getting married! My future mother in law knows everyone so we are bound to have hundreds at the wedding and that equals a lot of gifts (yay!) and thank you cards (boo!)

  4. Love the kitchenaid ones...they're so cute! :)

  5. Alright sista! I have to admit here that I'm a Thank you card freak! I LOVE THANK YOU CARDS!! I was guilty (gasp) of taking a handful of cards on my honeymoon and I wrote them on the plane then mailed them when we got to our honeymoon site.....sad, but true!
I write thank you notes for everything! Labels make it easier--and quicker too!
