Holiday Finds

So, this weekend my parents FINALLY came back from Greece. Woo Hoo! They had a wonderful time and we are so happy for them, but we are happier that they are home. They got in to Savannah around 7:30pm and Jim and I got back from that wedding at about 8:00pm so it worked out great. I put a pot roast on early that morning with carrots and potatoes so once everyone got in it was good and ready to eat. We just sat around the rest of the evening and listened to their stories from the trip. Wow, did they have an adventure! Greece is definitely on mine and Jim's travel list now.

Sunday morning we decided to skip church and sleep in a little. Jim cooked breakfast for everyone and we just sat around some more talking and drinking coffee. Mom and I decided to go shopping while the guys were planted in front of the tv watching football.

Here are a few of our Holiday finds. (I can't post the rest because they are gifts)

The tree we got from Home Goods. My mom calls it my Dr. Suess Christmas tree. I just thought it was too cute for $12.99.

The turkey I got from a cute little store near my house. It was on the clearance rack because there was a tiny little mark on it, so the lady covered it up with an extra polka dot. That's why the white polka dots look a little close to one another. I didn't care one bit! It was priced at $30 and I got it for $15. Another great find!

I just love all of Preppy Paper Girl 's things and I finally gave in and ordered! I ordered this "Our First Christmas" ornament for Jim and I and I also ordered a few more for some friends of mine and I love them!

These towels were my first purchase from her a few months ago. I am just storing them away until November 27th at 12:00am! I can't wait to decorate for Christmas! It truly is the best time of the year.

Some of my favorite stores in Savannah are beginning to put out their Christmas decor, so I'm thinking I will have to do another Christmas post. Yay!

Happy Monday!

  2. I totally want to go to Greece as well, how fun for them! When my parents travel abroad, I'm quite happy for them, but cannot wait for them to get back, ha! Your Christmas stuff is cute, esp. your "Seuss" tree!

  4. Oh wow your blog is soooo cool! I just moved from Savannah in March to Hawaii but I would give anything to be back there. Your post got me thinking of how much I will miss Xmas there.

I look forward to reading your blog more!

  5. Please, please, please post some of your favorite stores in Savannah. We live near Jacksonville and my husband and I come up all the time. I have a few favorites, like @Home, but I feel like I am missing a ton of great places. I would love to know where a 'local' shops in Savannah! (:
